I had a friend, who had a girlfriend who was a real pain in the ass.

Numerous times, he had thrown her out.

Many occasions, I had driven her, and her possessions, in black bin bags, to the home of her mother.

I did not ask him why he did not permanently sever the relationship: it is his business, not mine.

One day he volunteered that the real reason she had such a place in his life, was because she was eight years younger than him!

She is still with him today, but they have moved away, so I now rarely see him.
